Walked by on a hot sultry Monday afternoon over the long weekend break and saw that there were some empty tables and decided to pop in for a drink. These outlets are a popular choice for the hip and trendy crowd across all age groups from what I see.

The order methodology is now via some QR code embedded on an invoice sheet that is passed to your table. Navigating the menu is mainly a hassle free experience if you're young and relatively comfortable tech-savvy wise. Some of the older patrons struggle as they only use their cellphones for calls and messaging service. Can't blame them really. Once done, the orders were quickly fulfilled and the drinks are consistently good and still served in proper glassware. High marks for this.

Nasi lemak RM15.50 was not bad, rice was fragrant and soft, chicken was tasty tender and crispy, sambal lacks a bit of richness or slightly diluted for my preference. Nice ambience. Soya and coffee however was bad and diluted. It also tasted like tea which was a bit confusing. The menu order can't be customised too if you didn't want sugar so you'd have to inform the staff after you've ordered

Last visit: 19 Oct 2022

Cuisine: local (Malaysia)

Food quality: As good as other branches. I tried Nasi Lemak, fried rice, they are all very tasty.

Environment: Nicely renovated. They have indoor and outdoor. However the chairs are not so comfortable.

Service: Great

Price: Above average

Ambience: newly renovated and opened last month near Canai Cafe. Clean floor and tables however was quite noisy due to renovation next door and the awful smell (coming from next door probably)

Service: most of them do not know English but is totally fine, as long as they are attentive and polite

Food: 8/10

One major setback I would like to point out during my visit.
1. Sold out nasi lemak ( all types), chicken rice, and other popular noodle dishes ( such as Asam laksa) at 1PM, fine maybe it is popular that’s why. I asked how long do we have to wait, they told me 2 hrs as they ran out of oil to cook.

2. I ordered Lontong from noodle /soup section on the app. They FAILED to state it is vegetarian, or any related symbol that say it is vegetarian and had no description of what it contains AT ALL! I assume it has meat as i saw a pic of egg on the illustration and it was listed with other noodles that normally contains meat. I ordered and it came with only tempeh … I wasn’t in a mood to complain or to exchange at that time so I just ate it but afterwards I thought about it. It is very irresponsible to not state what the noodle contains such as coconut or peanuts or just a short description of it, this is important for those with allergy and dietary restrictions. Moreover, in the noodle there is egg ? So is it vegetarian or not ? if Lontong is originally tempeh based, why can’t you offer a meat based or at least state it so, so we customers do not order the wrong item… I saw there are other reviews that state there isn’t any vegetarian option. Please go through all the reviews and improvise the ordering system in the future.

Ordered a hokkien mee while my friends had the nasi lemak and nasi himpit soto. We concluded that the food was generally too salty for our taste. Ordered a barli limau ais too but it tasted more like lemon water with lots of sourness.

To be fair, it was at peak hour (dinner time) and the place was super pack. The service was acceptable, with the number of customers, food was served pretty fast imo. The setting is more like a kopitiam setting, so it can get pretty merry, nice and noisy. Fancy kopitiam. The food portion was big. Very filling for us. Would be nicer if you can cut down on the salt.

Despite the bright ambience, food and drinks are below expectations.

First, they (noodles and rice) cost RM15 minimum. Add a drink and it's close to RM20. Drinks are super diluted which is the worst offender. The coffee tastes great, only if you buy the instant variant which they sell by the cashier. You'll be sorely disappointed drinking the one served in a cup.

Next, the fried chicken served with the nasi lemak was cold. The only thing hot was the steamy rice. Sambal, hardly spicy!

Fried rice, lacked seasoning and spiciness, and tasted almost bland! Egg looked like F-size and you will need a few to fully fit your palm.

First and last visit. Rubbish!
